Practices

We have handled a wide range of civil matters, specializing in high-value personal injury, wrongful death, employment, and general litigation cases.

Personal Injury

Our office handles almost every type of personal injury matter, and offers free consultations to discuss the specifics of any case.  Unfortunately, many of our clients have been the victim devastating motor vehicle collisions, falls, dog bites, and other incidents, and have come out of them with catastrophic injuries, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, burns, amputations, bone fractures, and more.

Not all personal injury cases start the same, but they all involve people who have been hurt due to the negligent or intentional conduct of others.  As the victim of someone else’s wrongful conduct, are entitled to compensation of your medical bills, property damage expenses, lost wages, impaired earning capacity, and pain and suffering damages.  And in instances of intentional misconduct, you may be entitled to punitive damages as well.

If you or a loved one has been the victim of a personal injury matter, we are here to help and welcome your call.

Wrongful Death

The untimely death of a loved one is always tragic, but particularly so when it is wrongfully caused.  Wrongful death cases are brought by the families of deceased individuals whose deaths were caused by another, whether negligently or intentionally.  In these cases, the law mandates that the surviving family members be entitled to compensation for the loss of the decedent’s love, companionship, comfort, care, assistance, protection, affection, society, and moral support.

More so than in any other practice area, it has been our office’s experience that during the aftermath of a wrongful death, families need help as they navigate the difficult and harsh realities of their lives after these tragic incidents.

If someone close to you has recently been the victim of a wrongful death, we are here to consult with you and your family.

Employment Litigation

Whether you have been discriminated against, unfairly laid off, terminated, harassed, underpaid, or otherwise wrongfully treated in your workplace, it is important to consult with an attorney regarding your legal rights.  Employment law is much different than other practice areas, in that the the causes of action and substantive legal right vary substantially from case to case.

Both federal and state law provide remedies for the various causes of action in employment litigation.  A competent employment attorney will help you enforce those rights and see that you are fairly compensated when you have been wronged.

If you think you have been the victim of unlawful workplace conduct, we are here to help.  Call us today and tell us your story.

Insurance Coverage

When you purchase insurance, you agree to pay premiums in exchange for coverage.  And when the unthinkable happens, you expect your insurance company to reimburse you for that exposure.

Unfortunately, and more so than ever, insurance policies are written with complicated and subtle provisions that result in denials of coverage, and lead to devastating financial losses for policyholders.  You should not let your insurance company deny coverage in bad faith or because of an unfair business practices.

If you have received a denial from your insurance company for a legitimate claim, or if your insurance company has refused to offer you a defense, our office can help you pursue action against your insurance company to challenge the denied coverage and make you whole.

General Litigation

Sometimes, your case will call for a wider range of specialties for which you will need an attorney with broad litigation experience.  Our firm has handled various civil cases beyond the above practices, and offer services in numerous other areas including contract, landlord-tenant, real-estate, and other litigation.

However general, litigation can be expensive.  That is why our firm is dedicated to offering contingency fee options not only for consumers, but also for businesses that have been wronged or cheated.  This means that our clients do not pay us legal fees based on the hours we work, but instead, on a percentage of any financial recovery.  We do this so the legal system is never out of reach, not for consumers and not for businesses.

If you believe you need an attorney with a broad range of general litigation experience, we welcome your call to discuss the specifics of your matter.

Mediation

Mediation is a fast and effective means to informally resolve cases.  When adverse parties come together to discuss their matter with an independent third-party facilitator, more often than not, people tend to come to an agreement without the need to go to court.

Our firm offers select neutral services to parties in conflict, whether or not the parties have already filed a case.  We are frequently called upon by members of the community to mediate cases.

150 years ago, Abraham Lincoln spoke the following words from his lectern:

"Discourage litigation.  Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can.  Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser — in fees, expenses, and waste of time.  As a peacemaker the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man.  There will still be business enough."

In a world full of litigation, our firm aims to help those who wish to resolve their differences outside of court.  If you are interested in obtaining our services as a neutral mediator, please do not hesitate to contact us.
